Section 1: uG Community & Forum Rules^

Section 1 Article 1: General Forum Rules^

  1. Posts are to be made in the relevant section. We ask everyone to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users who consistently post in the wrong sections may be given a warning.  #
  2. Forum users should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming, trolling or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning or ban.  #
  3. Forum Users are asked to not act as “back seat moderators”. If members note an issue which is against uG rules they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of the Caporegime, Wiseguy, or Enforcer group. Do not respond to such topics yourself. Users who constantly “act” as moderators will be warned or temporarily have posting privileges restricted.
  4. Forum users should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning or ban. Racism, bigotry, flaming and trolling are not tolerated.
  5. Forum users are asked only to post in English, as this is an English speaking community. If a situation calls for translating someone's post, you may do so and we encourage members who know multiple languages to help out.  #
  6. Forum users should use appropriate and descriptive topic titles when posting a new topic. Examples of bad topic titles include; "Banned for no reason" "Unban me plz" "help!", etc. Examples of good topic titles include; "Playername Banned on Assault", "Playername Unban Request", etc.  #
  7. Spamming and advertising is not tolerated here under any circumstance. This includes links to other servers, communities, etc. Other communities may not recruit here, and doing so will result in a warning and your post will be removed. In some circumstances "spam" can also include replies that are in no way contributing to the topic and do not serve a purpose other than to increase post count. Do not post for the sake of posting, or your post may be removed.  #
  8. The Caporegime and above who are forum moderators reserve the right to edit or remove any post that does not adhere to the uG rules at any time. Please do not argue against the judgement of a moderator or administrator. If you feel a member of the staff is abusing you or others, please contact an Enforcer via Private Message.  #
  9. The forum rules also apply to the private message system. Abuse of the private message system may lead to a warning, or removal of privileges to use the private message system.
  10. Please keep responses to threads on topic. If you feel the need to go off topic, please start a new thread.  #
  11. Please do not revive dead topics, instead please start a new topic unless you have something that relates directly to the topic at hand.
  12. Users who create alternate accounts to bypass or evade bans will be permanently banned, even if the original ban was temporary.
  13. Do not post any personal information about yourself that you don't want public. Also, you may not post any personal information about others (ie, address, etc).
  14. Any users who are banned from the servers and spam the site or complain about being denied an unban will have their forum account banned as well. Users who complain about another user being banned will be warned or banned as well. There is a dedicated forum section for unban requests, unbans are not handled on the shoutbox or privately via Steam or private message!
  15. You are fully responsible for all the actions that take place on your account. Blaming your brother, sister, even cat or dog for the rule you have broken on your account will not lessen the consequences. This applies to the game as well.  #
  16. Forum signatures which include pictures may not exceed the dimensions of 300 pixels tall, by 750 pixels wide. Any signature image found to be larger than the stated dimensions will be removed without notice.  #

Section 1 Article 2: Reports, Unban Requests and Applications^

  1. Unban requests must be filled out by the banned player only. We do not accept unban requests filled out on behalf of another player. Unban requests must also be submitted within two weeks of the original ban, or the request will be automatically denied.  #
  2. Unban requests are handled by Caporegime and above with Enforcer+ having the final say. No person should post in the Unban Request section unless they are the banned player, the banning admin, named witnesses, or Caporegime and above.   #
  3. Abuse reports are handled by Caporegime and above with Enforcer+ having the final say. No person should post in the Report Admin Abuse section unless they are the reporting player, the accused admin, named witnesses, or Caporegime and above. Doing so will result in a warning, and possible two day forum suspension for repeat offenses.
  4. Counter-Strike 1.6 Soldier's and above are required to participate in all application polls for the CS 1.6 division. This includes membership, sergeant, lieutenant, head lieutenant, special promotions, etc. Note that this does not include those who have a current topic in the absences forum.  #

Section 1 Article 3: Applying to be a uG Soldier^

  1. uG accepts both Steam and Non-Steam members. Non-steam members are ONLY eligible for admin if they use and are available on the uG Discord. This will be at Staff+'s discretion.  #
  2. Anyone who applies for membership must post an introduction topic at least 14 days prior to posting an application(This may be waived on promotional periods). We encourage all applicants to be active on the forum as well as the servers.  #
  3. Voting lasts for three days, all applicants must receive 15 "yes" votes by active (Non-Wounded) uG Soldiers+ as a minimum for membership. Any "no" vote offsets two yes votes. 20 yes votes and 0 no votes is required for early acceptance(Amount of vote required subject to change during promotional periods). Early acceptance will not be granted if there is a no vote on your application.  #
  4. Players that do not get accepted and wish to re-apply must wait 14 days between applications. This is so that they will have time to work on the items requested by uG members from their previous application.  #
  5. All opinions are welcome on membership applications, however only votes by active (Non-Wounded) uG Soldiers+ count on application polls.  #
  6. All Steam users who are accepted as uG Soldiers will receive basic admin on ONE server of their choice and uG's Italy server two weeks from the date of acceptance. Non-steam is ONLY eligible for admin if they use and are available on the uG Discord. This will be at Staff+'s discretion.  #
  7. Soldier applications must be filled out by the applicant, properly and fully, including a link to an introduction topic made at least 14 days prior to the membership application(Subject to waive during promotional periods). uG does not accept applications posted on behalf of anyone for any reason. Failure to fill out a proper application will result in the application being locked and automatically denied.  #
  8. Please post your topic and allow Caporegime to add the poll. Poll will be put up within 24 hours of the application. Applicants may not vote for themselves.  #

Section 1 Article 4: Applying for Promotion (Sergeant, Lieutenant, Head Lieutenant, etc)^

  1. When applying for a promotion, the same concept as applying for membership applies where 1 no vote offsets 2 yes votes. There is a 30 day minimum time limit between applying for promotions.  #
  2. When applying for Sergeant, you must already have your basic admin. Only votes from Sergeants and above are counted. Non-steam Members may not apply for Sergeant or Higher unless they have bought a Legal Steam Counterstrike.  #
  3. When applying for Lieutenant, opinions are welcome but only votes from Lieutenants and above are counted.  #
  4. When applying for Head Lieutenant, opinions are welcome but only votes from Head Lieutenants and above are counted.  #
  5. Made Men positions are by Promotoion only.  #

Section 2: Counter Strike 1.6 Server Rules^

  1. No cheating, glitching or exploiting the maps or plugins on the server. This includes, but is not limited to hacking, ghosting, roof boosting, nade spamming, reconnecting to spawn twice in the same round, etc.  #
  2. Ghosting, which is a dead player telling alive players where remaining players are is not allowed. This will met by a permanent ban. This is considered as cheating and will be met with the same consequences.  #
  3. Be a good teammate. Team flashing, blocking, obstructing other players, or helping the other team is not allowed, in addition spamming or any other form that disrupts game play will be met with a warning/slay/kick/ban.  #
  4. On servers with objectives: On maps with the cs_ prefix, rescuing the hostages is the objective. On maps with the de_ prefix, planting the bomb is the objective. Please keep in mind: The map objective is the primary objective on our servers, eliminating the entire enemy team comes second.  #
  5. No racism, sexism, ageism, bigotry, offensive names, homophobic slurs, remarks about disabilities or religion, or harassment is allowed. With gaming comes trash talk but there are limits. First violation of these rules will be met with a warning. After being warned once, a temporary ban of one week will be given if the offense is repeated. If after the one week ban expires the user continues using such language with malevolent intent, then a second temporary ban of one month will be issued. Any offender that does not change their behavior after the one month ban will be treated as defiant and such users will be permanently banned.  #
  6. uGamers has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for harassment and offenders may be temporarily banned for one week, second offense is a month, it it continues they will be permanently banned whether an admin sees it or not (ie. Server chat logs). Banning someone strictly based off server logs REQUIRES a Enforcer+ forum discussion prior to the ban being issued, and only Enforcer+ may then issue such ban. Harassment is legally defined as the act of systematic and/or continued unwanted and annoying actions of one party or a group, including threats and demands.  #
  7. No excessive swearing, with gaming comes "trash talk" but we must always be aware of where the line is. Our goal is to maintain a friendly playing environment for all.  #
  8. The server is no place for political or religious discussions, please refrain from bring up discussions of this nature as everyone has their own view points but it doesn't belong on the servers. Admins have the right to ask you to stop, if you continue they have the right to ban you for the day.  #
  9. No mic spamming or playing music. On servers without instant respawn: No talking on the mic if you are dead. Let the remaining players hear. Constant talk about non-game related subjects may also be considered spam.  #
  10. uGamers is an English speaking community and is the only language allowed on mic. Language other than English on mic is considered mic spam.  #
  11. No advertising of other servers/communities, links to pirated versions of Counter Strike or other hacks, and no recruiting is allowed.  #
  12. Impersonating uGamers members, or improper usage of the uG | tag will result in a permanent ban for impersonation. Our tag is protected and is for members only.  #
  13. You are fully responsible for all the actions that take place on your account. Blaming your brother, sister or even cat or dog for the rule you have broken on your account will not lessen the consequences.  #
  14. Hacked or modded clients are STRICTLY forbidden. Use of modified clients for the advantage over others will result in termination of access to the uG Forums or Servers. Modifications to the client that do not provide advantage over others, though the judgement of 'fairness' of the modification is purely at the discretion of the staff. If you have a question about a mod installed on your client that you are unsure is allowed, feel more than welcome to ask on the forum or send a message to one of the administrators.  #
  15. Sprays that are offensive or sexually explicit are not permitted on the server. All who have a spray of such nature will be warned first, but further consequences may follow if use of the spray is continued.  #
  16. No connecting to servers with proxies! Connecting to any uG server with a proxy, for any reason is prohibited, and will get you a permanent ban from all servers.  #
  17. Our ban system permanently bans players who have been temporary banned more than four times. This means if you have four expired bans, and you receive a fifth temporary ban for any reason it is permanent automatically. At this point an unban request will be automatically denied.  #
  18. Any player who has been temporarily banned who is found in the server before the temporary ban expires (Ban Evasion) will be permanently banned on sight and an unban request will be automatically denied.  #

Section 2 Article 1: 24/7 Assault Server Specific Rules^

Counter-Terrorist
  1. CT's must be inside by :30 trying to make their way to the hostages. If a player is outside past :30 and not attempting their objective they may be slayed immediately or at the start of the next round(At the admins discretion). All rule violations are punishable by admins at said admins discretion.  #
  2. The only time a Counter-Terrorist is allowed to leave the "TERRORIST BUILDING" with under :30 seconds left is when rescuing the hostages or the hostages are already outside the building.  #
  3. All Counter-Terrorist must attempt the objective "RESCUE THE HOSTAGES" (unless they're being rescued)  #
  4. The objective is to rescue the hostages, killing the T's is a bonus.
  5. If a Counter-terrorist was afk during the game and came back but came back at the 0:30 second mark or below but makes his way straight into the building do NOT slay him/her.  #
Terrorist
  1. If a terrorist touches the ladder He/She may check upper vents but must go all the way to the roof.  #
  2. Terrorists may only enter the hostage room when a Counter-terrorists is inside, this is the only time!  #
  3. The only time a Terrorist is allowed to go into upper vent to drop, or back into the building through vent is if he/she makes it outside. Whether that be from back door, front door, or vents.  #
  4. If a terrorist falls off ladder accidentally, but goes back up and continues to roof they should not be slain. If a terrorist falls off ladder accidentally and doesn't go back up and go to roof they may be slain.  #

Section 2 Article 2: 24/7 Dust2 Server Specific Rules^

Counter-Terrorist
  1. All Counter-Terrorists must attempt the objective "Defuse the bomb" or "Defend the Site."  #
  2. The objective is to defend the site or defuse the bomb (if planted), killing the T's is a bonus.
Terrorist
  1. Be out of T spawn by 2:00 (2 minutes REMAINING).  #
  2. Terrorists must attempt the objective "Plant the bomb."  #
  3. The objective is to plant the bomb, Killing CT's is a bonus.
  4. Terrorists may travel through B, but may not plant B until 5v5.  #

Section 2 Article 3: 24/7 Italy Server Specific Rules^

Counter-Terrorist
  1. CT's need to make their way to the hostages after 1:00 min remaining and attempt to rescue them.  #
  2. the objective is rescuing the hostages, killing T's is a bonus.  #
Terrorist
  1. Protect the hostages, kill CT's

Section 2 Article 4: Deathmatch Server Specific Rules^

Section 3 Article 1: Soldier/Sergeant Specific Rules^

  1. We do not allow double tagging in any way. If you're a member, you should be wearing the tag every time you play even when not in uG servers. Wearing/using another tag is not something we allow, whether it's "just a friends thing" or another clan/team/etc, another tag is still another tag and is not permitted. This includes being admin on other servers, or part of a community which does not require a tag and also members owning/running their own server outside of uG for any purpose. If you'd like to sponsor a server for uG, please contact a member of Staff+ and they will be happy to help.
  2. Basic admin is a privilege, not a right. Soldiers should use good judgement and remember that admin commands should only be used for the good of the server, not for fun, etc.
  3. Soldiers+ may not kick players without justification. For all non-hacking offenses such as not completing objective, Warn/Slap;Slay;Kick;Contact Lieutenant in that order.
  4. Soldiers+ may not empty a server or redirect players for any reason.
  5. Soldiers+ are obligated to warn players first (using text, not Mic) before punishment.
  6. Soldiers+ are forbidden from using commands on other members/admins. If you feel that another Soldier or higher rank is doing something wrong such as abusing admin, hacking, ignoring the map objective, etc, please record a demo and submit it to Caporegime PRIVATELY, who will handle it. The ONLY time it is acceptable to use admin on a fellow Soldier+ is to move them to spectator if they are AFK.
  7. Soldiers+ who are caught hacking (on our servers or not) will be permanently banned from the servers and forum. Cheaters are not welcome.
  8. Soldiers+ should never use tsay/csay to chat in game. This is unnecessary and considered abusing admin.
  9. Soldiers+ may not make up their own rules. If a rule is not printed either on the website rules page, on the server MOTD or /rules List of Rules, it is not an enforceable rule.

Section 3 Article 2: Lieutenant Specific Rules^

  1. Admin is a privilege, not a right. Lieutenants should use good judgement and remember that admin commands should only be used for the good of the server, not for fun, etc.
  2. Lieutenants may not kick players without justification. For all non-hacking offenses such as not completing objective, Warn/Slap;Slay;Kick;Temp Ban in that order.
  3. Lieutenants may not empty a server or redirect players for any reason.

  5. All Lieutenants are required to wear the community tag in front of your name during the game, example: uG | HellsGate. This applies without exception. The uG | tag CAN NOT be changed.

If you feel that another Soldier/Lieutenant is doing something wrong such as abusing admin, hacking, ignoring the map objective, etc, please record a demo and submit it to Caporegime PRIVATELY, who will handle it. The ONLY time it is acceptable to use admin on a fellow Soldier/Lieutenant is to move them to spectator if they are AFK.
  7. Admins who are caught hacking (on our servers or not) will be permanently banned from the servers and forum. Cheaters are not welcome.
  8. Admins should never use tsay/csay to chat in game. This is unnecessary and considered abusing admin.
  9. Admins must record demos of all players who are banned for hacking. If a player requests an unban and no demo is provided the admin will receive a warning. 3 warnings for failure to submit a demo will lead to suspension of admin.
  10. Admins must submit a demo of any Steam player banned for hacking within 24 hours regardless of appeal. 3 warnings for failure to submit a demo will lead to suspension of admin, Steam players banned with no demo posted will be unbanned regardless of an unban being posted. In addition to this, the first 5 hacking bans whether Steam or Non-steam should be posted with demo to the forum for review.   #
  11. If a unban request does come in for a banned player, the banning admin will be given 48 hours (MAX) to submit the demo of the player, if a demo is not submitted by this time a warning will be issued, 3 warnings for failure to submit a demo will lead to a suspension of admin.
  12. Admins should always use SPECIFIC reasons when banning players, if not selecting a choice from the menu.
  13. On servers with multiple maps, admins MUST ALWAYS do a vote before changing the map unless there are no players in the server.
  14. AFK players should be transferred to spectator via amx_transfer unless the server is full (30/32 players) in which case they may be kicked.
  15. Admins may not transfer any player, unless afk, to any team unless they specifically ask to be transferred and there is an opening on the team they'd like to join UNLESS it is ABSOLUTELY necessary.
  16. Admins may not make up their own rules. If a rule is not printed either on the website rules page, on the server MOTD or /rules List of Rules, it is not an enforceable rule.
  17. Admins may not use the team transfer function to change teams if a spot on the team you want to play is not open. (ie: team stacking).
  18. Admins are not to use the all chat ability to help themselves or their team, it is given to you to help administrate the server not to improve your game play. Memeber's caught abusing this will be given a warning and if it continues a punishment may be implemented on the member by Enforcer+.
  19. If an accidental ban is made, the banning Admin must post an unban request on behalf of the banned player. We are aware accidents do happen. As soon as the mistake is made you can contact a member of Staff+ for an immediate unban through the Forum. The player will be unbanned but it is the banning Admin's responsibility to post an unban request in its usual area so we may keep a record as soon after as possible.  #
  20. If an admin issues a ban and then would like to change the duration of the ban they must post the ban within the Soldier area along with the reason for changing, a member of Staff+ will then change the ban and move the post to the appropriate area.
  1. All of the Soldier/Lieutenant rules above apply to paid admins as well.
  2. All sales are final, uG does not offer refunds on admin sales.
  3. Abuse of admin that requires permanent suspension does not entitle you to a refund!
  4. Paid admin positions are open to uG members only.

Section 3 Article 4: uG | Inactive Members Policy^

  1. Anyone who is inactive for a period of two weeks or longer without posting in the Soldier Absences area will be automatically demoted to the Wounded Soldiers rank, server admin privileges will be taken away and will not be able to use the uG | tag. Currently, inactivity is measured by forum activity, and those who do not log into the website for two weeks or longer will be automatically demoted.
  2. Upon return if you have posted in the Members Absences area, please let us know that you are back and your post will be archived.
  3. Upon return if you have NOT posted in the Members area, you must post in the Members Absences area to let us know that you have returned, your tag protection will be reinstated immediately once you have posted and one week from the date of this post basic admin will be reinstated. Optionally you may donate to the community for immediate reinstatement of basic admin. If you previously held a rank higher than Soldier, you will have to re-apply back up through the ranks. In other words, you are considered a Soldier once again.

Section 4: Ranks^

  1. Founder: Owns the community, and has the final say on all issues.
  2. The Legends: Closed rank, by promotion only. Helps with Day to day operations and put in their opinions on important topics.
  3. The Boss: Closed rank, by promotion only. In Charge.
  4. Enforcer: Closed rank, by promotion only. Staff managers, in charge of all the members and takes care of any issues on the servers/site.
  5. Wiseguys: Closed rank, by promotion only. Staff members who are in charge of server management.
  6. Head Capo: Limit 1. Closed rank, by promotion only. Caporegime Supervisor.
  7. Caporegime: Closed rank, by promotion only. In charge of moderating the website, administrating all servers and handling membership apps, unban requests, reported players, and help requests.
  8. Head Made Men: by promotion only. Watch's over all Made men.
  9. Made Men: by promotion only. In charge of administrating all servers. Made Men are promoted from Head Lieutenant positions based on activity level and having a clean record including no abuse reports, no warnings, and no failure to submit demos.
  10. Head Lieutenant: By application or promotion. Full admin on two servers of their choice.
  11. Lieutenant: By application or promotion. In charge of administering the server of their choice.
  12. Paid admin: By subscription. Can purchase admin on one, multiple, or all servers.
  13. Sergeant: By application or promotion. Basic admin on two servers of their choice.
  14. Soldier: By application. Where everyone starts out, with basic admin on the server of their choice.

Section 5: Disclaimer^

  1. uGamers Staff+ reserves the right to penalize ANY and ALL offenders who break these rules with COMMUNITY-WIDE punishments which may be temporary or permanent at the discretion of the staff. COMMUNITY-WIDE punishments include any and all entities; servers, forums, communication channels and anything we sponsor or directly control.
  2. uGamers rules are more guidelines for our administrators to follow while observing game play and during situations in which they may need to execute punishments. uGamers administrators of any rank reserve the right to execute a punishment they deem to fit based on these rules and the circumstances surrounding the offender.
  3. uGamers does not provide demos used for banning players to the public.
  4. Ultimategamers.net and the upper ranks of this community reserve the right to modify this page at any time. These official rules are subject to change at any time without prior notice. These rules may change without notice or immediate declaration on this webpage, in that case it will be updated as soon as possible but the changes that were made will still be enforceable by uGamers administrators and staff.
  5. We request our admins to understand that your administrator powers were given to you in order for you to help promote a safe, and fun gaming environment while in-game. We urge you to please administrate responsibly, and do not use your position within the community to search out any and every single person who has broken any given rule in the past (using server logs or any other means) while you are not actively in-game.
  6. Any Wounded uG member without a absence post MAY be removed from the uG roaster if they have no forum and/or server activity for a period of 6 months or longer. This decision will be taken to a vote within Enforcer+.
  7. uGamers has strictly enforced rules stating all members, administrators, and staff MUST wear the tag AT ALL times EXCEPT when in spectator recording demos of a suspected hacker. You may not remove the tag for any other reason while in-game. Please be advised that uGamers does employ consultants that have been here since before this rule was created and are not required to adhere to this rule.
